Enkei in OZ doesnt seem to stock as much in the way of rim sizes and offsets. I'm looking at fitting RP03s in a 17 x 7 with a 45 offset running 215/45s. I'm looking for better grip and guard filling without the need to lip the rear. The cars a hardtop lowered with the Eibach Pro Kit. What do you think???
Hi Lab-ratt. I'm in Canberra. Got pics of you car? Mine is Silver, PRHT and Eibach lowered too. Why not consider the 17x8s? They'll fill the outer guards really nicely.

Thank you Brian. Handling differences aside between the 17x8 and 18x7.5's, do you think there would be a significant / noticeable difference in road noise/comfort in the 18's vs the 17s? (assuming same tire brand/type to control against that variable)? Ie the profiles 35's vs 40s

Oh yeah....you would notice in the first 100 yards of driving that the 18s mean less ride comfort, etc.

Hey lucifuge,
I have a few before and after lowering shots but theyre not real good. Will try to post them on the forum.

The stock rims are tucked in quite a bit now its lowered so want to get something to change the offset as wheel spacers are not street legal. I'm going to swap my stock tyres over to the RP03s for now. The plan is to run a 215/45 (maybe 40s) AV048 Yokahama for track days with limited street use so I dont need to go to an 8 inch rim. Plus the 7 will be lighter (nearly a pound over the 8 ) and dont want anything heavier than stock.

My only concerns are the wheels rubbing in the guards so am hoping the 215 tyre with the 45 offset rim will give me enough clearance. Will run some neg camber aswell. I'm guessing if a 235 on a 48 offset adds 15mm tyre width to 7 mm offset making the outer wall 22 mm out where as a 215 width adds 5 mm tyre and the 45 offset will add 10 mm so the outer wall is only 15 mm further out. Should clear nicely but I just wanted to confirm.
