Crowd Source Help KONIG Make the Next Flow Form WHEELS!

Post by Brian »

NEW Konig Freeform shown at SEMA. Tell us what YOU think!

Starting sizes 17, 18, 19 inch. But, perhaps 15 inch if enough interest?

The actual "bronze" color we are trying is called Radium Bronze. I've attached the picture of it from the show. It's a bit more flashy, but that's been one of the things we've had a request for. So the Matte Silver will be one color and that Radium bronze is the other.

Also put up the 3D rendering to give an idea of angle views.

Hmm...
I would be interested in the machine face in a 17x8 with a 45-50 et.

Hi Chuck

More talk with Konig late Friday and to my surprise the 17x8 is already going to be 17.75 here, 17x9 likely almost 19 pounds. With that I told them kill the 17x9, just not enough sales at that weight. On the other hand, Dekagram in 5 lug 16x8 is possible. And they told me ANOTHER new design with much more focus on light weight is coming for 2019.

Hop the classic silver colour will be available for these new wheels, like Enkei RPF1 or Konig WideOpen

Some of their Main Line wheels are really nice designs, too, if they switched them to flow formed barrels to save a bit more weight. Scaling something like the Helium up to 17" and wider barrels would probably look great. And the Tweaked looks a lot like the Traklite Gear that you folks used to carry, but seems to have been discontinued.

Lots of options to choose from are awesome, but even with all the new choices, it seems like the Hypergram and Ultraform are still king of the bang for the buck category (along with being great looking designs). 8)

That's understandable about the the 17x9 and weight but it would still be nice to have more options. How much do the 17x9 Ultraforms weigh?

Can you ask them about why they don't offer more colour options on their wheels?

Hopefully that other new design with the focus on light weight comes in a 17x9.

I truly hate that Mazda went back to 4x100 for the ND.
