16 x 8 for NC?

Post by MitchC635 »

Have been doing a lot of searching for a good lightweight 16x8 wheel for the NC to leverage all the great 225/50R16 tire choices for street use. Trying to minimize more road imperfections without giving up much ultimate performance, and this seems the most promising wheel/tire size combo for the NC.

Only options found to date are some really overpriced RX7 FD wheels that need at least refinishing. Dekagram and Storm 16x8s for NA and ND come close, but need about 10mm more offset and the correct bolt pattern for NC. Anyone know of other wheel options that might work?

The last time I looked, Enkei RPF1 was the only lightweight choice. A quick search found these https://www.amazon.com/Enkei-RPF1-Silve ... 661&sr=8-2. I understand 45 mm offset is better, however you should be able to make 38 mm work.

I doubt that 16x8 RP-F1 fits NC, almost no 16x8 clear the rear suspension link on NC. Dekagram would clear if we made it 5x114, something we have been looking at but demand is very small.

Can't believe you just called me very small - you haven't even met me ;)

Seriously, what kind of offset could you get with the 16x8 Dekagram if demand was sufficient to produce the 5x114 bolt pattern?
