Staggered fitment

Post by milkman »

Brian, I have an 06 NC with sportline springs, and Im looking at a set of Rota Slipstreams with a staggered fitment. Not sure about tires sizes, and will this setup even work?

Front 16x7 45et.
Rear 16x8 48et.

What is your opinion on this possible setup?
Any information is appreciated!

Thanks

It will fit. My opinion is that I am NOT a fan of staggard fitments. Your car has a near perfect 50/50 balance and a staggerd fitment just screws it up. What happens is that the rear tires will not get up to temp like the fronts. The results will be unpredictable handling, bad tire wear, etc.

So, my suggestion is that if you like that 16x8 at 48mm offset Rota....get four of them.

Brian, thanks a lot for the info. I had heard something about that a while back but wasn't sure, thought I'd ask the expert. The last thing that I want is unpredictable handling.

Thanks,
