NC Oilcooler

Post by slvrspd »

I have been trying to find installation instructions on the NC oilcooler here on this site, but have only seen mention that it is a good idea to have it done prior to the Cosworth S/C install or during the install but no instructions per se.

Anybody with some instructions how it is done ?(this is the oilcooler seen in Brian`s product list-pancake style cooler)

Just installed it, during the SC install. The install on the engine block is pretty self explanatory, just a tight space. The cooler fits on the oil filter block facing forward , hoses up, the locator pin for the cooler fits in the V on that casting.

The long hose goes between the T-stat neck and the inside cooler line. The short hose goes to the "tree", if you install the SC, the short stock hose is not used. You basically re-route the flow between the T-stat housing and the tree by including the cooler.

Hope that helps.
