GCs with Konis installation

Post by ddonoho »

I installed a set of koni sports with groundcontrol coilovers this weekend, the ride is great. I was disturbed to find that the shockboot wouldn't fit in the GC (eibach) springs and that the springs were loose (on the front anyway) before they were installed in the car. I've since talked to a friend and found out that this is all normal. Wish I had known.
I used the instructions for changing the front shocks found elsewhere in this web site. Removing the lower hub carrier tongue was easy and I didn't have to worry about messing up the balljoint seal. Found that removing the bolt from the upper hub carrier connection to the upper wishbone in the rear made that job do-able too.
Can't get over how much better the car rides and handles!
Thanks,
