AEM Intake on 2013 MX5
AEM Intake on 2013 MX5
Any idea of the H.P./Torque increase with the MazdaSpeed AEM intake and any pics of it installed? Thnx, John

It got 10hp on otherwise stock car....and about 2 on NC with header. Thus, we usually suggest header and exhaust system first. Once the header is added....the intake is still helping with throttle response but not much more power.

In other words...for the few times that you’ll be revving the engine to redline (to reach that 10hp potential gain), there will be most of the other times when you’re just driving at more normal revs, and you’ll gain an audible increase in intake noise, which will tease you into thinking you got a big power gain for all-around driving.
So, consider the cost and installation more in terms of an audible gain rather than a power gain.
