Spring perch and Bump stops

Post by BRG91 »

I have received my Koni sports from Good-Win this week. They are for street use and I am keeping the original springs. I like lowered look. Is the lowest setting for the spring perch the way to go? I also bought the powerflex bump stops. Do they have to be cut down any to allow full wheel travel?

Yes, the lowered perch can be used with the stock springs to lower your Miata a little. On the bumpstops you have a choice. Leaving them full length means you get into them sooner but the transition is more progressive. Trimming them down means a little better ride quality but the transition onto the stops is more abrupt. Most folks will trim them...I leave them full length...there is no wrong answer on that choice.
