Looks good. So slammed that I am not sure we can get the 235/40/17 in there...

215/40/17 should be easy.

ok. it wouldn't have the stretched look where the side wall seems rounded into the tread right? thats something i'm trying to avoid with a "low profile" tire?

That 215mm tire is about 8.46 inches wide....so pretty straight up and down...but certainly 235/40/17 is going to look better....more protection for the rim edge.

yeah.. i was really gunning for 235s and hoping they would fit with the way im lowered. panic.button has agreed to let me try fitting his rims under my car when i'm ready to make the decision. =]. i was actually thinking about stopping by your shop one day to have you get a in person look but im sure after looking at all the photos of the NA/NB/NC owners you can tell what will fit or not.

It is worth a test fit. Too many variable to call it a sure fit from this distance. Should be no issue in the front because the front fender is rolled at the factory. But the rear fender lip is not. You are so low that my guess is that you have a lot of negative camber and it clears 235 in the rear pretty easily.
