Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus

Post by avkills »

Anybody have any experience with these tires? Right now I have Yokohama S-Drives 205/45R17 on Enkei RP03 17x7. I also want a wider tire - -what is the max width I can go with those rims? Will go on a NC 2006.

You can go as wide as 225 on that 17x7....but things start to feel sloppy as we get wider and give less support to the sidewalls. Thus, suggest 215 size as good compromise.

Thanks Brian -- I went ahead and ordered the 215s. From what research I could find -- people generally think it is a good all around tire and should be perfect for me in Denver here since it is my daily. I generally do not try and drive if it snows hard -- but it will be nice to have something that can handle light snow better than the Yokos.

This the same as the Exalto AS? I just installed 185/60-14 on the stock rims of my '91 and couldn't be more pleased. They are quiet, smooth riding, and seem to grip very well. I haven't had opportunity yet to push them to the point of breakaway though, nor obviously can I address wear.

So far I like them, as Cougar has said, they are quiet and smooth. Will post more thoughts once I drive in rain and light snow.
