Cosworth 2 BAR MAP sensor

Post by Oz »

Getting bits together for my NC CW install
Is a 2 bar MAP sensor required in place of the std one which I assume is only 1 bar for unboosted engines.

We have not been changing out the sensors with Cosworth installs....has not been an issue.

G'day Brian,
My understanding is that the std map will max out at 3lb.
Wouldn't it be advantageous for the ECU to 'see' map right up to max boost?

I suppose you would get better resolution on a 2 bar but I don't know anybody taking advantage of an upgraded sensor. Perhaps some customer is doing so and can chime in as to whether they found a tuning advantage.
