New wheels

Post by e4tnu »

Sorry in advance for this question it may have been asked before but does anyone know are the RX 8 rims 18x8 and what is the PCD and are there any issues other than unsprung weight to look out for when fitting to MX5 MK3 ?

That 21 pound wheel is too heavy in my opinion for the MX5. But it does fit MX5 perfectly....18x8, 50mm offset 5x114.

Cheers Brian
I didn't know they were that heavy, yes too much weight there for me too.

Again, RX8 wheels fit the MX5....but are too heavy for me to recommend them....unless you like a rough ride?

Ok Brian cheers, i just thought that there may have been some difference between the RX8 and RX7 being that they are 16x8 and not 18x8 as above. :D

The old RX7 16x8 wheels were very light...range of 13 to 16 pounds. They fit fine though the 13 pound versions tended to crack easily.
