Is the Muffler important?

Post by senda »

I have the GW Header + Mid Pipe but i solf my duals long time ago.

Now we have racing again and i thinking to buy new muffler and i am thinking on one of the singles:

I want to change the muffler just for the race, we do not have noise limitation or different classes (Standart Miata, BMW Z4M and improvment Miata are all in one catagory).

Is the single muffles will preform much better than the original?

Will i feel different in HP between the different singles mufflers?

Thanks
Brian

The only differences between our 2.5 inch duals and singles is the weight and sound. So, you might want a single for the weight savings. I usually put on one of our singles for track days.

OK

But is there much different between yours mufflers and the standart?

I do not know if the mid pipe and the Header are working good with the Miata standart muffler or it make evrything work less good...

Factory muffler is restrictive. Any of our aftermarket mufflers easily outflows the stock muffler.
