a few RSII/Q questions

Post by mjmi11er »

first if you have a Q or an RSII can you post some pics, both from the side, showing how much the exhaust sticks out from the rear bumper and some rear shots...

i am interested in this because i do not want the tips sticking out from the rear bumper much. i kind of like how the stock tips are tucked away. i see the 2009-11 models have tips that are 1.5" longer then the NC1 models. i'm wondering what the systems look like on NC2s and am pondering ordering an NC1 system for my NC2. thoughts?

based on previous response these are some pics that support my thought process...

an NC1 AP car with a normal NC1 Q exhaust

another pic, same car, NC1 with AP with normal NC1 Q exhaust

vs

NC1 with Q

and for my questions, the tip diameter is 3.5" correct? for the most part the goodwin muffler sits higher (can be seen less) then the stock exhaust correct? the RSII is ~20% louder then stock and the Q is roughly 10% louder then stock. i have heard the Q burbles on decel... is the same true for the RSII?

appreciate the help.

Sounds like you answered your own question on the exhaust tip length, if you want the tips tucked away then the version we make of either model for 2006-2008. All tips are 3 inch diameter. Tip height about the same as stock.

It is the motor that burbles, and a highflow exhaust just let's you hear it. Thus, you get much of that with either choice though the Q is a deeper and more mellow tone.

Lots of additional information and sound files in our exhaust blog....LINK

thanks brian, i have been over those files quite a bit. the only thing i can't find a sample of is how the Q sounds on an otherwise stock car.

with how the systems sit i assume even thought the tips are in the same place as the stock ones i assume because the can is smaller it is a little more up and out of the way.

3", ok, thank you. it's good to know there are no other differences between the systems other then tip length.

wooohoooooooo! ordered an early model RSII this morning. i can hardly wait. :D

i have had enough of vehicles not knowing i'm around... hoping this will help some.

also, quite a bit nervous about it getting beat up as it crosses the entire country during delivery. :?

Thanks for the order, ships today!

We injection foam the box such that they never suffer damage.....even when we ship them to the other side of the globe.
