Re: Super20 SEMA MX5 Flares
Woohoo!!! Been waiting for these since you first announced the possibility of making them. Any more detail on installation? Something I can do in my driveway or needs a body shop?
Thx.
Thx.
Re: Super20 SEMA MX5 Flares
how much additional width does this add?
Re: Super20 SEMA MX5 Flares
...and can we see a pic from underneath the flare (inside)? I'd like to know where it attaches, although I'd likely trim it to fit my application and rivet it to the fenders.

Re: Super20 SEMA MX5 Flares
These are super simple, as the product description at that link explains...just a strip of 3M VHB tape holds it on (same as the SEMA show car). You can trim metal out from under or rivet if you want.
So the basic install is just:
1. Use vertical strips of masking tape to get flares aligned as you want.....like you see below.
2. Starting at one end of the flare, peel off the backing from VHB tape and work your way to the other end (pulling the vertical strips as you go). Press firmly once in place. That's it.

Re: Super20 SEMA MX5 Flares
Brian,
If the 17-10 RPF-1 needed your old fender flares to fit how well would they fit with the new SEMA flares with lets say a 255/40/17 Nitto NT-01?

Re: Super20 SEMA MX5 Flares
I won't know until somebody really tries them with that 38mm 17x10. My concern is the diameter and my first choice for that combo would be our existing race flares.

Re: Super20 SEMA MX5 Flares
So these don't fit the 06-08? When mounted whats the distance from outside of the flare to outside of the fender?
