Full exhaust or Street header and Q exhaust?

Post by SLY2006 »

I'm having trouble deciding whether I should go with the full exhaust setup or just get the Street header with the Q muffler. My biggest concern is noise. I've checked out the clips of the setup you have posted but it's hard to know unless I'm in the car. I'm just curious how much louder the car is with the midpipe with a catted header. I want to maximize power but don't want to regret the cost if its harsh

I can't imagine anybody thinking our catted headers are harsh, the sound change is not much and most passengers won't even notice the change unless you put your foot on the floor and leave it there to wind it out to redline.

I just installed the street header, mid and Q muffler. Overall I'm very happy. The mid adds a lot of volume, mostly low frequency. In fact it adds more than the header I think. I'm still not sure which sound I like better, header mid and Q, or Header and Q. I'll wait to decide until after I get my new tune tomorrow. I would strongly recommend the header and Q, which will make the biggest improvement in performance. Then, if you're up for a meatier sound (but still not too loud) get the mid. If you don't want it, lots of people will buy it for a small discount.
