Differential Bushings - Street driven

Post by EricM756 »

I found a used Torsen differential that I want to swap into my '92 to replace the VLSD. The differential bushings look in very bad shape (rubber cracking, a few chunks missing) so I want to replace them. Which bushings would you recommend for a street driven (but performance oriented) car?

Thanks,

Eric

Our Mazda Comp hard rubber replacements would be a great choice.

Brian:

Just getting around to installing these. Do they re-use the stock differential bracket on the bottom? I notice some of the aftermarket bushing kits require removing the rubber from the original brackets . . . is that necessary? I didn't see any instructions . . .

Thanks,

From head mechanic Rocky:

You do cut or melt the rubber off of the bottom plate because that is what holds the bushings in
