Miata Wheels 'Dial In' & 'Storm 15x7, 15x8, 15x9, 17x8, 17x9

Post by Brian »

As noted in our SEMA thread, these are coming in the new year with awesome low prices for strong and light flow formed Miata wheels in high demand sizes and offsets, and they look awesome!

We have now loaded them on the site with details (offsets, price, etc). I expect some of these details to fluctuate a little as we get closer to the wheels arriving (like whatever 'name' they decide to call the color may get changed by marketing weenies). Price may also adjust slightly up or down a little, same with final weights (we will wait for actual production parts to land on our scale before we get exact numbers). Prototype pics are 5 lug but production parts are 4x100.

Let me know which style you guys like better, the 10 spoke Advanti Racing Storm S1 or the 12 spoke Konig Dial In? Folks interested can also click the "notify me when in stock" button at these links below to get notice when the pre-order process starts. Note that I could tell at the show that the Konig has more brake clearance.

Update, Konig sent us the prototypes so we could check things like Big Brake Clearance.

The 15x8 of both the Advanti Racing Storm S1 and Konig Dial In clear our Big Brakes.

The Konig has a ton of clearance, the Advanti Racing Storm S1's concave spoke design makes it a little tighter... but it still clears our Big Brakes.

On the scale teaser for you guys on these new Miata Wheels. Don't get too locked in on these weights since these are prototypes and the final are 4x100 instead of 5x100, etc. Nonetheless, very excited that the prototype 15x8 version of the Konig Dial In is an even 12 pounds.

They both look nice, but the bigger brake clearance favors the Konig. Plus, I really like the gold. I don't really need another set of wheels for the NA, but I could be persuaded by the gold Konigs.

Thanks for bringing these new options to the market.

(BTW, the ND mules spotted so far are 4-lug, so I can't imagine they are anything other than 4x100. The brakes look a little smaller than the NC's, so 15s may clear. I'm really hoping the brake clearance and offset work out so we can use the same aftermarket wheels as the NA/NC.)

Also, any plans to stock either of these in 17-inch, 5x114.3 NC sizes?

Thanks for your comments.

It would be a dream come true if ND takes 15 inch. My fear is that ND will be 4x100 but require 16 inch or larger...then we get to start this wheel making adventure all over again!

I'm at STR power levels and plan to stay that way for a while, so I'm interested in 17x8 et X for the street and 17x9 et X for autocross and track, where X is whatever gives the most clearance. I would have thought X should be about 48, but I will bow to your greater experience.

Saz posted these shots of the brakes on m.net:

Meanwhile, my photo analysis indicates the wheels shown are 16s:
