Selling Complete Kits

Post by NaregM677 »

Brian,
Have you ever considering selling complete parts combinations? Meaning, have you ever considered selling brakes, intake, exhausts, and shocks (just an example) together as a kit, varying in performance degree? Or perhaps selling the parts that comprise one of the Goodwin project cars as one kit? I would imagine that there are other amateurs out there like myself who wouldn't mind purchasing the "MX-5 NC Stage 1" kit, for example. Any thoughts?

Yes, considered it for years and we do have the full exhaust system kits from header to muffler. In the NA/NB section of the site we also have stock class autocross kits and we should at least do that for NC. Beyond that I am not sure...because immediately it results in questions like "I want that kit but want to change to the other brand of shocks, etc." Nonetheless, there certainly are some very popular patterns and we could likely save everybody some time by putting the most popular Progress Springs in a kit with FCM bumpstops and KONI Sport shocks....because that combo sells just about every day.

Makes sense, Brian. I was thinking about it after I posted and I realized that I'm sure people take pleasure in having their cars exactly their own way. But I agree that small kits for suspension arrangements might be a good idea.
