Koni Yellow shock install?

Post by mx5er »

Got a set of Koni Yellow Sport shocks for my '00 NB. Do these require any priming prior to installation? If so, what needs to be done?

Just install and run em...

For years Koni was still putting the old oil shock priming instructions in the boxes despite fact it had no application to these newer design gas units. I finally called and asked them why...and they decided soon after to stop doing that because it just caused confusion.

My Koni shocks still had those instructions in the box. There's a date on the box stating 17/01/2014

That's funny, I know they stopped doing it for a long time....but somehow it crept back into their 'system'

It can be ignored, the vice primer procedure was about oil filled shocks.
