Gt3 roll bar and wheels

Post by na5tynat3 »

So blackbird said there may be fitment issues in the rear where the roll bar bolts come through. Brian or anybody else know what size will cause an issue. I plan to run rpf1 at 17x9 45 et with 245/40/17.

Sorry, don't have the GT3 bar in our ND....but our friends at 949 Racing have used it extensively....and they have an obvious interest in this question since their big product is the 6UL wheels. I can say 949 ran that 245/40 size a lot, whether it rubbed the plate for GT3 is not something I know....best to ask them.

Love our ND RZ Blackbird bar...and it does not present this question.

Similar story there, AWR bar in our NC. Question best answered by those using the GT3 in the NC, suggest posting that question in the appropriate section at Miata.net forum.

I have the GT3 bar in my NC, and I run up to 245/40-17s on my Weds TC105N wheels, which are 17x9+49. There's no sign of rubbing on the backing plates for the rear legs of the bar. I do have the bolts in "backwards," with the heads in the wheel well and the nuts in the cabin. If you run +45 offset, you'll be 4 mm further away from the inside of the wheel well. I have pretty high spring rates, but my car is also very low, so those factors may offset each other.
