At the Mazda Fan Event with 2019. My wife approved the telescoping steering, concluded she would use it. I have apishly long arms, it's of no use to me but I was curious if my wife would care, and she likes it.
I was excited to learn that pricing releases tomorrow, and then immediately bummed to be told only the 2019 RF gets out of the gate in the near term, soft tops are going to be delayed further.

Re: 2019 ND2 Miata
Too many years racing if you've no care for creature comforts Mr.Goodwin
That said, I had to come to grips with my motoring choices being more "wife approved", than "speed racer"
Reminds me of my second car - a Mitsubishi Lancer (think 1998, 'Evo' was king - my car was not an evo...), it had a tiny aftermarket "Momo" steering wheel, which was the bees knees at the time - now I wonder how long I can drive before I need to stretch my legs!!

Re: 2019 ND2 Miata
So the ND2 wheel does move further aft than the ND1? Any idea how much?
I'm 5'7" with 32" inseam. September will be 3 years and I'm still trying to get comfy in this.

Now that you have an ND2, any comment on the supposedly improved steering?

Re: 2019 ND2 Miata
For the 2019 ND2 engine, does the cooling changed? On the pictures of ND vs ND2 engine comparison there seems to be sandwich type oil cooler (right where the oil filter is), is that really the case? (assuming that ND2 engine picture can be some engineering piece no a production one..)
If yes, any guesses how much it will improve the oil temperatures?

Re: 2019 ND2 Miata
Yes, heat dump now stock from oil to coolant....why they waited so long is a great question, same thing happened in the history of NC generation with early cars not having oil cooling of any kind and Mazda fixing that with NC2 in 2009.fl4ckon wrote:For the 2019 ND2 engine, does the cooling changed? Re: 2019 ND2 Miata
Will the newer factory oil cooler negate the need for the Mishimoto cooler for a track used Supercharged ND2?
