Sorry I missed this question before, I think you are talking about my wife's RF. That's old set of 245/40 Rivals after being burned up in autocross events. That tire needs a 9 inch wide wheel, we stuffed it onto 17x8 for pics because the tire was free to us after being used up, we don't recommend 245mm on just 8 inch.

Brian - I'm interested in these wheels for my 2017 RF LE. Would 235/40/17 tires rub on stock suspension?

Yes, 45mm offset wheel and 1.5 negative camber or MORE and that will clear stock fenders. Note you might have to lower the car to get that amount of camber, as we lower the car the fitment gets easier because we have more access to that negative camber that tips the tops of tires inwards. Ran those on my wife's Supercharged RF, with 45mm offset and our RF springs lowering it enough to get that camber.

Thanks for the information. Not ready to lower the car yet. My intention is to improve the look of the RF with wider tires. Looks like I’ll take the easy mod and go with 215/45/17 tires. Will this size tire be too stretched on the 17x8 wheel?

Below is 215/40 on 17x8 Tungsten 6UL, 215/45 fills the fender well better.
