Got a request today for pic of Magnaflow CARB Header. Update on coverage, EO number extended to cover 2006 through 2011. After July we hope to see that same number extended to cover ALL years of NC. Also working on CARB midpipe for NC and getting closer, hope to have it finished soon after July for all NC.

Notice primaries not pinched in Magnaflow above, quite a bit better than STOCK unit below.

I saw the problem w/ the stock header as it was included w/ my new car. Someone called that "Ok".
My car does not have a rear bar installed, but I have the stock one w/o the mounting brackets. Does anyone have the brackets sitting around so I can try the stock bar at Qualcomm. I am thinking I can soak up the bumps w/ less compression and still handle body roll w/ a bar, or stiffer bar setting.
Thanks.

Hello Brian, I am really interested in the new Helmholtz race muffler but i am curious about a few things. Before this was announced i was thinking about getting the street single and having that as my only exhaust change. I was worried about drone though and just have not got myself to pull the trigger.

How much louder is the Helmoltz race over the normal Race single and Street single. I seem to remember the Helmholtz midpipe increases the overall sound output while cutting down on the "drone range". If this new muffler is indeed louder than the normal race single, that would be too much for me.

Also, is there a plan to make a Helmholtz Street single muffler? I think that would be a great solution for a DD with no other exhaust changes planned. BUT this would hinge on how loud the Helmholtz race is i guess.

The Helmholtz Race still includes the same fiberglass resonator as the standard Race, so result is more mild than Race and less drone than Street Single, but more volume than Street Single. We really made that Helmholtz Race for guys using otherwise stock NC, it's the MOST fun you can have in my experience with NC exhaust on otherwise stock car. But if header going on the car then I want Helmholtz Midpipe and at least the Street Single at the back.

The lovely T6 Aluminum Dog Bone mounts are to get the next stage in NC Big Brakes complete. The 12.88 kit we developed front and rear for NC many years ago will remain the top dog choice for the hardcore track guys, but there is need for a more modestly priced kit that uses rotors that are low cost to replace, etc. Thus, getting close on new 12.19 size kit for NC, much like the kit we have in this size for ND and we run on my wife's Supercharged RF, this will prove the right size for many, nice additional thermal capacity and a lovely reduction in unsprung weight. Will be choice of four piston, or six piston shown here.

And rather amazing is that we even got it to fit inside the stock 16 inch Mazda NC Wheels, so it will fit just about everything our enthusiast customers are already racing with.

Big round of applause for our Ryan Passey and this dream made into reality here. Many years ago I worked direct with owner of Wilwood to make our serious 12.88 setup as the ultimate track NC brakes, but now that NC are really cheap to buy we need a kit at about half the price that still delivers a meaningful upgrade in performance.

And wouldn't it be amazing if this new kit can fit even stock 16 inch wheels? Many of us are driving daily on stiff springs for track and autocross weekends but use the 16 inch size for daily comfort with the stiff suspension, or winter use.

And wouldn't it be amazing if the consumables for the kit were low cost (both pads and rotor rings). Lots of thinking and discussion and now you see the results, fits even stock 16 inch wheels, significant upgrade in thermal brake capacity for canyon and track work, big reduction in unsprung weight for better ride and handling, low cost replacement friction rings. The friction rings start at $88 on our site now, that's already less than HALF what 12.88 rings cost, and we are working on even lower cost friction rings that may cost that cost about in half yet again. We will even have scalloped rotor option and drilled/slotted. With the optional four piston the pads start under $50 a set of four with a lot of choices, etc.

And it looks SEXY too!

Yes, we will get around to just a caliper upgrade soon as an entry level option that can later be upgraded to this setup. But for the guys wanting real Big Brake Kit function at an amazing price, we are deep into making a super new option happen that fits the budget theme of this project, and we are very excited about it!
