Hi all! I just bought an 06 Miata grand touring soft top with the sports package. It’s in great shape and only 67k miles BUT the shocks are blown. Right now it’s at about 13.25 ride height with stock parts and the suspension bottoms out HARD in dips on the road.
I wish I could afford to go all out, but can’t and this is a weekend toy. That means I don’t want to drop all the moneys on it but also that I do want some usability but don’t mind if it’s a lil stiff since I’m not driving it every day.
I’ve ordered:
Goodwins sport bump stops GWR 58 red/58 white
KONI Orange strt shocks
Progress springs
Any insight?
Is there anything with my budget suspension that won’t work?

Looks good, the change we suggest is our stop kit for lowered cars.

My preference is also the KONI SPORT instead of SRT. The SRT gives you the 'sport' setting, the KONI SPORT gives you the ability to go softer or stiffer than SRT and change your mind on that stiffness setting.

Thank you! Can I email or call for my order of 58/58 (placed yesterday) to be changed to that lowered kit?

Yes, reply to email receipt and the crew in shipping can make that bumpstop change.

Hey Brian,
Is there anything else I’ll need? I’m not comfortable using spring compressors so I’m gonna bring the Shocks, springs, and bumpstops to a shop. Do I need to provide them with anything else?
Thanks!

Shocks and springs and bumpstops is all you need. Just give the shop a heads up that they need to drill out the factory top mount to 12mm for thicker Koni shock rods.

Thanks for all your help! I’m glad I ordered from y’all. And the drilling applies to koni orange as far as you know?
Or just the sports yellow Konis?

The STR does not need the tops drilled out...RodrigoP002 wrote:Thanks for all your help! I’m glad I ordered from y’all. And the drilling applies to koni orange as far as you know?
