Our first track weekend with the combo of

TDR "Super Cool" Air Flow Kit for NC MX5
2006-2015
https://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-P ... -3594.html

AND:
https://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-P ... -3593.html

Impressed with the combo. Temperatures for test and tune day were ambient 80F. Throttle response was crisp and improved compared with stock airbox and cooling efficiency was improved with better flow through the radiator when not blocked by the factory airbox and factory battery location.

Stock NC Water Pump On Left vs Ford Motorcraft GW625 (for EcoBoost) on Right

The newer ford design is a drop in for NC with 2.0 or 2.5 upgrade motors and has a much more effective/efficient impeller design. This is part of the solution Ford added to this family of motors to support turbo use. If your NC is overheating on track days, this is our recommendation with our triple pass radiators.

We've now updated our super popular NC Helmholtz Race Muffler with our signature double wall rolled tip! Other details and design remain the same. Awesomely fun sound remains the same, and now it has a little more 'polished' look with the tip update. This muffler carries the "race" name since it was a spin-off off our super light single tip race muffler for NC, but despite that race in the name this is most popular with street and mixed-use cars for it's unique sound, whereas racers are likely going with the actual lightest weight option with is our original race muffler. So we figured the tip change would be appreciated among the majority of folks who may want to run this muffler option, and the few extra ounces is well worth it.

Today new version of the muffler even with the addition of rolled tip came in at 15.0 lbs, so despite addition of slightly more metal in the tip this exhaust is still super light!

Konig Hypergram 17x10 +43 5x114 Race Bronze with Yokohama A052 245/40-17
https://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-P ... -2662.html

I told lots of folks that 17x10 is never really going to work with our new long travel KONI coilover. But so many of you keep asking that we are playing with the 17x10 on here and how many of our Bumpstop Packers for Koni Shocks 1/4" we are going to need to get it done. YES, you give up travel to get even 245/40 in this car with ANY long travel coilover. Otherwise the tire is acting like a brake and grinding up inside the fender and it might do it on just one side as you brake into a turn and that could rotate the car in a unpredictable manner.

Bumpstop Packers for Koni Shocks 1/4" set of 4. After some testing on my favorite banked freeway ramps we are now 5 of these quarter inch packers per all four corners, plus one 1/8th packer at each front corner. Your mileage will vary depending on tire and alignment and HEIGHT. Right now we are about 13.25 height each front corner, 13.5 at rear corners.

Hypergram 17x10 with Yokohama 245/40. These KONI coilovers of ours just have MORE travel than all other setups, great for stock sizes but big race sizes will need to give back some of that travel. Got 3mm spacers in the rear to keep tire off the inside of shock towers.

It does look amazing on 10s!

We now have Ford EcoBoost water pumps made by Gates in stock! Gates EcoBoost water pump set beside stock NC water pump in these pics. The 3D cast impeller offers improved efficiency/flow and avoids cavitation compared to the stock NC stamped impeller.

More driving impressions of our Koni ClubSport Coilovers with 9/5 Springs. Wanted to to see if I could get ride quality back to something comparable to stock NC/ND. Drove my 2019 to the shop today which is on stock Club trim springs and KONI SPORT shocks set soft all around and the typical overstuff of tires we do for SCCA CS, which is 225/45-17 on 17x7. That ND2 is otherwise pretty stock with just upgraded front sway bar, we must use stock springs for SCCA CS per the rules of that class. That tire being poorly supported by the 17x7 Storm wheels we have on the car means ride is pretty plush, more so than when the car was totally stock with factory Bilsteins and stock 205/45-17 tires.

This combo of our Hypergram 16x8 with 225/50-16 Conti tires with the Koni ClubSport Coilovers on 9/5 springs and tire pressures 25psi all around and shocks half turn off soft is indeed just as plush down the freeway as my 2019, or any stock NC that I have driven. Yet with 9/5 springs and our Progress Sways on full still front and rear this NC will charge the corners much harder.
