And it'll be a completely different beast, in so much as the 3.0L V6 will now be a 3.5L V6. The 2.3L I4 will stay the same.

No wagon or MS6 for 2008.

2009-model pictures released early.

Article quotes it as a 2008, but it will be a 2009 in North America, as we have such lax model-year regulations. For Europe it will be a 2008.

The hatchback is the stunner of the group.

Looks like another UltimaCamryAccord replicant. Boring. Hopefully they'll put a 300 HP turbo AWD model on the showroom floor.

I have also heard the North American model will be built on a differnt platform?

Sure am glad that it doesn't look much like the boring Toyotas. Hopefully the 4-cylinder varient will be available with some performance handeling options instead of wasting them all on the bloated V6 versions.

I think Mazda 2008 is better than 2006. It has additional features on Mazda OEM Parts and other accessories. It has different styling with other models. And for the engine still powerful and smooth to use. :) I love this model so far.
