Big Brakes for NC

Post by edisonzeng »

Hi Brian:

Are there any big brake setups for the GTC-01 17x8's that I bought from you a while back? The MS ones are kind of lame only being a front pair, and I was wondering whether or not there are any RX8 conversions available for me.

Thanks.
Edison

yes, RX8 brakes will bolt right up. See our RX8 section of the store for the RX8 "OEM" size kit with two piece rotors and calipers. That setup is still a good inch bigger than NC brakes. Match that with our OEM two piece RX8 rear rotor and the only part you are missing is the OEM RX8 rear caliper.

so your saying that the brake kit bolts on without any modifications to an NC?
the adaptors and ss brake lines that come with the kit fit right on?
will it fit 17" wheels?
are black calipers available?

Yes...an NC is just a shortened RX8 platform so this is a bolt-on. But I don't expect the stock NC 17 inch wheel to fit with a four piston caliper.

what about a 17inch wheel with lower offset? like 45 or so?
and what do you think about the perforamnce of the brake kit? IS the quality better than wilwood dynalite 4pot?
and are the calipers available in black?
