too bad, that might have been a cheap easy weight reduction.

That's gorgeous. Probably a dumb question, but does the window seal well enough to the carbon top to be used in rainy weather or has anyone reported any slight leaking from the window? Also, if I purchase the factory mounting hardware, latches, liner, and rear edge gasket, will that keep the top from leaking water from around the carbon top itself?

Long post short. If I leave it parked outside while it rains, will I come out to find water in the car, either from the window or top itself?

Brian,

Looks very good. I was planning to get a factory top for my car for the winter, but I'd much rather get one of these, with the appropriate OEM bits to hold it down and seal it. I'm guessing it will seal around the outside just like the factory top, but, like nc4me, I'm concerned about the window. Does it have a seal around the Optix, or could I add one of my own?

This looks like a great product. Thanks.

Quick, one of you buy one and install it on a daily driver! Then write up an installation guide for all the necessary seals/fasteners/etc that will make it work (flawlessly/leaklessly mind you) when commuting on a rainy day.

Sure is a beautiful piece of work.

Had some requests to see how we attached the hardtop in our NC LIGHT.

Simple, two aluminum strap brackets at the front, and a link at each side.
