Brian,

Very nice results. Keep working on the car and keep us updated on it. This is a great thread.

More pics from the weekend...

Many will recognize Tom Hnatiw from SPEED TV coverage. I was not prepared for him to take interest in the car and he took a big interest in NCLIGHT but fresh out of running in the race group I just babbled through the interview. Then I went another two seconds faster on Sunday and they asked me to do some exhibition laps with their cameras on the car.....cool! Also below is a friends' 1000 horsepower twin turbo Vette. Picture of me in passenger seat of my student's Viper preparing for a teaching session (Owner Eddie a great guy and fast learner, picked up the track quickly).

Not yet. Curious to see if I end up on cutting room floor. Will ask for a copy just for kicks so that we can post it here.

I finally put our car on the scales tonight and it looks like I'm going to have to add a LOT of weight back to the car to get to the DP minimum weight of 2225.....

The current weight with the stock suspension on the car still (the new AST 4220s should weigh less!) is 1998 pounds!

So, Brian, not sure where you're at with your XP project, but my calculations show a minimum there of 1894 with the 2.3L Turbo. Obviously that drivetrain will weigh a little more, but with replacement fenders, hood, trunk lid, etc. you could probably get pretty close. That sounds incredibly fun to me!

Hi Ron,

Congrats on the getting the weight under 2K....that's awesome.

Our project has been just sitting, waiting on me to have time and the season has been too busy for me to get to it. I expect this Summer to finally get more accomplished.

Brian,

Yep, I saw that in GRM. Nice job. Congrats on the coverage. Perhaps you'll see a bump in business because of it.
