Toyo's on stock NA

Post by simnaj »

Thinking about Toyo's for stock NA wheels... Looking for Ultra High Performance... Most driving is spirited street, but as I learn the occasional track would not be out of the question... I have just ordered the Racing Beat Suspension Kit and Koni Sport Shocks...

Should I go with the Proxes T1R's or T1-S'?

Go with the T1R. The R is the update of the S and turn-in is just a little better, etc.

Next question...

1. I would like a 16 in wheel, however want to keep things lite...Thinking about ENKEI 16 x 7 RP-F1's...Thoughts?

2. Keeping in mind the Racing Beat Suspension Kit, Koni Sport Shocks, and now Toyo Proxes T1R's (205/45ZR16) will I need a fender lip roll? NOTE: I have no plans of lowering any further than the stock Racing Beat Suspension Kit.

3. Within a year, or so, I plan to install a JR Supercharger. Will the 16 x 7 RP-F1's support a 225/40ZR16?

...when can you hook-me-up! Tires/Wheels/Installation/etc. :-)

You won't need a fender roll, those 16x7 RP-F1 will fit in there just fine with the 205s...even the 225s. Note that if we were really trying to max our performance of 225s then we would opt for the 16x8 RP-F1...but the 16x7 will certainly work fine for a street toy.

Will the 16x8 with 225s fit without fender lip roll? I did not see Toyo T1R's in the 225 variety...What is the going favorite in the 225 arena?

I saw the section for Tire Packages!?! Yeah!!! Let me know when your ready to start working Tires and I'll be there!

Hope to have the toyos in the next few weeks. Yep, they fit under the fenders perfect on a 99 or newer. On the older cars a lip roll might be needed depending on tire choice and how low the Miata sits...but the 225s will fit most without issue.

16x8 it is... Last question.

Will the 16x8 RP-F1's fit your Big Brake Kit?
