AEM intake and rain.

Post by NC+Will=Happiness »

I commute 100 miles to work everyday. This morning, it was pouring and I was southbound on the 605. I gunned it to make a pass move and my check engine light came on. Just yesterday I had the 3000 mile service done so at first I was nervous someone had forgotten something. Once arriving at work I reached into my cars mouth, removed the prefilter screen, and sure enough the filter was soaked. I highly doubt the car even sipped any water but I think the filter was a bit restricted by water. Other than that, all was normal/no drivability issues etc. Being a dry filter, I'm assuming I can just dry it off and go back to business as usual. Just something to check if anyone has a similar issue in the rain with the AEM filter.
