Having just completed this install on my 2006, there are a few things you should note. Not sure if they affect later models or not...

1. Fan shroud is nearly impossible to remove. Aside from the radiator itself, save this piece for LAST. There simply isnt enough room to slide the fan shroud out as pictured. Have your radiator completely disconnected, including the 12mm mounting brackets on bottom. Then with radiator loose and hanging gently wiggle things around as you slowly make enough room to snake the shroud out.

2. There are two anodized brackets on each side of the top of radiator (10mm nut & a 10mm bolt) that hold it to the bumper assembly. Access them from below



3. The air ducts that carry fresh air from the front of the car to the ECU and to the battery box do not reinstall correctly. The radiator flange to mount the ECU duct is about 20mm too long. I actually had to cut it back 15mm. DONT GO TOO FAR or you'll risk cutting off all the threads for the mounting bolt. On the battery side, the flange seems to be close to original size, but the added thickness of the radiator prevents alignment to the fan shroud mounting points. Maybe these air duct are unecessary? Maybe "close" is good enough? Maybe NC 1 fan shroud is a little different? This oversight it doesnt prevent the install, but taking a hacksaw to my new radiator was a bit nerving...

4. Save yourself the aggravation and just pull your front bumper for unhindered access to the myriad nuts, bolts, pins, flanges and other intertwining elements... I had mine off anyway to do some headlight rehab, but I'm glad I had it off for this project! It only takes 30 minutes to remove. On a several hour project like this, the 30 minute R&R is time well spent!

5. Fan shroud R&R from top. Radiator R&R from bottom.

6. THIS INSTALL TAKES TIME! Figure 4-6 hours. You need to finesse these parts in and out of the vehicle. Stuff hangs. Things snag. Wire and hose harness clips get in the way. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME! I know it goes without saying, but don't yank; if the radiator isnt coming out, it's because you missed a clip, bolt, hook, etc. Once you get everything, the radiator can be gently removed from below.

7. The INSTALL of your new radiator is waaaay easier than the removal process. Probably has to do with familiarity, but overall I spent at least 2/3 of my time removing the pieces but moved rather quickly through the reinstall.

Having just done this install, I noticed there is a bolt in the radiator with some thread sealant on it. Is this for a temp sensor? If so, does anyone know the size?
