How about neither...

On 90-93 I prefer the Racing Beat Highflow, on 94-97 I prefer the MonsterFlow rotationally molded.

Of the two listed, I'd have to say the JR is better because it reduces weight and shortens the intake tract. However, ther have been many 'issues' with the JRCAI box cracking or not fitting well.

If a strut brace is not a concern, I would buy the Racing Beat elbow intake.

JR vs RCI

Post by hunsfutz »

A day late and a dollar short perhaps because your post was in May and it is now August.....BUT..... I have had the RCI on my '96 for at least 8 years and I feel it is better because all the air comes from outside and the air is "rammed " in from the cowl vent under a slight pressure as opposed to being sucked in. Scorpio is at 90K plus, no carbon fiber cracks etc, using a K&N filter, clean it every 10 K.
