CARB approved Mods for 2007

My first thought is Brian thinking not again. But us Cali guys just can't be happy with the rest of the world enjoying things we can't have. So here goes.
I bought a 2007 GT 6 AT (28000 miles) in July 15. I wish to thank every contributor for your post and experience, there is a wealth of knowledge here and at M.net. I have stayed quite and read as much as I could in both this forum and Miata.net. As per recommendations on M.net I have put about 5K on the car since July. Several truly enjoyable romps through the mountains north of LA and mountains south on Indio. I realize that my DD though fun as all get out does needs to have some suspension, braking, tire and performance upgrades.
As I understand from all of the reading that there are CARB approved CAI for 2007's. That Brian's early testing show an 8 to 10 Hp increase with the CAI and stock exhaust. That the addition of a GWR header, mid-pipe and muffler gained another 2 to 3 hp. Both helped improve torque. Threads at M.net lead me to believe that another 5 to 10 can be gained with a tune to an otherwise CARB legal set-up.
All said a CAI and Tune can be had for under $1000, with a gain of 10 to 15 Hp while I wait for a header and mid-pipe to be approved. Dealing with State & County Regulators regularly I don't envy what Brain has to go through to get approvals.
Brian, thank you for what you have done towards CARB approval of the new mid-pipe. Did I miss any otherwise simple mods for us in California?
