Fun to look at what the factory does with max aerodynamics effort on the Fiat 124.

GT4 version in testing.

We may vent the hood as needed, watching oil temps at coming track events.

Makes me wonder if the guys at CarbonMiata would tackle a replacement hood in carbon fibre (with some vents)?

Not sure about everyone else, but I'd much rather something I could use and return to factory at a later date - people tend to shy away from heavily modded cars where I am, unfortunately.

I'd love to see them do a replacement trunk with a small ducktail style spoiler too - as I've said before, something that looks like the first generation BMW Z4 would be perfect!

Laguna Seca Event coming soon!

Really enjoying the car with the stuffed turbo! Been working back and forth with Tuner on tune refinements and that is coming along nicely, will return to dyno for final numbers in the next few weeks as time permits.

Also getting the car ready for Laguna Seca Raceway event! Will go back up to our Good-Win Racing Premium 12.88 Big Brake Kit because I do most of my passing at Laguna deep in the brake zone for turn 2. Will also add some brake ducts to help keep the brakes at best temp. Also checked local yards for a factory hood and black trunk lid. How very convenient! What are we going to do with those? More on that soon....but it's about better cooling and better aero for fast Laguna.

My buddy Moti has done up some seat lowering mounts, since I am tall for these cars at 6'2, those will help better get my helmet under the Blackbird Roll Bar.

You gonna add the "heritage stripe" (matte black paint), while you're at it?

With that and the new "scorpion sting" decal and she'll almst look like a proper little race car :D

(Edit - wow nvm, I see you already mentioned the trunk was black :roll: )

Getting ready for Laguna Seca Raceway!

Brake ducts going in.

Also notice TALL bumpstop on the Ohlins, and what you cannot see is plastic packer on that, this is for the unique drop into the Corkscrew so we can limit wheel travel. Otherwise you get tires doing your braking at the bottom of the Corkscrew as the tire contacts top inside of the fender area.


In the foreground is our 322 hp Supercharged 07, it's a lot faster than the Fiat at the track, but work continues!

Factory seat is now LOWER thanks to new lowering brackets for stock seats by our buddy Moti at AuroraAutoDesign.com

Driver and Passenger seat in same positions and as far back as they go. It may be hard to see from side view but Ryan on stock height passenger seat has my helmet hitting, and actually lifting the yard stick as it lays from top of windshield across the roll bar, but on lowered Driver's seat he is now under the classic 'broomstick' test. This bar is a lot higher than stock hoops, this is a Blackbird bar and and that bar is as high as we can get without removing the top.

I wish we have a body kit like that to put on our car, that would be awesome and creates so much room to mount coolers
