Max midpipe heat

Postby ryanholt » Sat Aug 25, 2018 7:30 pm

Since installing the Max midpipe, I've noticed significantly more heat inside the vehicle from the center tunnel. Any recommendations on ways to cut down on the heat radiated in to the car? Maybe heatshieldproducts muffler armor?

Perhaps your car has lost some of the factory insulation in the tunnel? The factory insulation in the tunnel is pretty good but now and then we see a car with a chunk of it missing and that makes a hot spot on the tunnel metal and the heat spreads out from there. Anyway, lots of good products that can be applied to the tunnel, we use a gold foil on the race cars that has an adhesive backing and can be applied to the metal above the factory shielding as a second layer.
