Reality check time....only ONE current design will actually work with the unique fit issues on the NC created by the brake kits we want to clear (like our budget big brakes on our latest NC project) and the toe link at the rear of NC that is so-o-o close to the barrel of the wheel. And that's even assuming we do an aggressive offset like 38 to 40mm. In brief, there is good reason we cannot find 16x8 inch wheels on the market that fit the NC, leaving you guys using increasingly old and suspect FD stock wheels.

If we did it, would likely only do ONE finish....the stylish new polished lip version of Hypergram that Konig showed this year at SEMA:

I like it enough to buy, especially if the weight is below 15 pounds. Below 14 and I'd pre-order them!

Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated! Projected weight is indeed UNDER 15 pounds....a bit over 14 is what we expect.

If you don't like it, don't care, nothing else we can really do at this time....except wait another few years to see if any other new designs coming might work, and that might easily mean it NEVER happens since it is hard enough at this point to get wheel makers to even think about doing 16 inch. If you do like it, let us know and we will move to the next step.

This is absolutely brilliant! I would love if I could get my hands on these as my DD wheels. I hope this comes to fruition... I know lots of folks on the forum talk about 16x8 wheels and complain about their rarity.

Hoping you can get some more track time this weekend to continue moving all the extra power towards a fast & reliable track monster.

Above quote sounds like no plans to try making the return fuel set up work before COTA. Any intent to re-address that later? Interested in seeing the Good-Win solution now that over 350 HP in an NC is easier to get, and tests on the stock fuel rail indicate it isn't very good at keeping even fuel pressures across the cylinders at those power levels.

Noticed in your engine bay photos (besides the usual master craftmanship) that one of the coils is a different color. Any plans to replace the 2006 coil wire harnesses with later model to avoid problems given the extra heat and vibration that will occur under the hood now, or any other plans for the ignition?

More gauges have made their way into the car. We now have Air/Fuel ratio and engine oil temp.

Hardtop arrived from DG Motorsports. Got that mounted up, love how the NC looks with a hardtop :D

Now back out to the track tomorrow!

We will be trying the return fuel setup in the future. We know we will need it when we go for more power.
The different color coil is just light reflecting off the shiny surface, nothing "special" or "secret" about the coil.
As long as this harness is working there isn't plans to replace it. It's not broke, so... Past experience does tell us it probably will need replacing in the future.

Big thanks to Mike at XERO for getting E85 tune in the car this week! Feels well north of 300 hp now, it just pulls and pulls in the upper rpms. Big thanks to Bryan Spears at FAB9 for such a great new Turbo kit, we are only running 9psi as of today and is scary fast already. Car going on the rack now for Ryan to do final check of everything and then with luck go to track tomorrow for more testing. One thing is for sure...it's getting seriously fast now!

Ryan reports excellent day of testing at Chuckwalla Raceway with the newly installed turbo today.

Ryan says the tires are done, baked out and 'gone off', but they had a dozen days on them already starting with three days of the Miata Reunion at Laguna Seca Raceway so we figured this weekend was the last event for them. New Yokohama A052 will be on the car for COTA. Turbo kit driven hard all day long on track today, and proved reliable all day long! Ryan wants some changes in supporting stuff like a bit more front sway bar, a bigger oil cooler, and more aerodynamic aids that he plans to work on this week.

Prep for COTA, new YOKOHAMA A052 getting fit. Only a mild roll was needed for RE71R 255/40/17 on our 17x10 Hypergrams. But these new YOKOs are quite a bit beefier than RE71R in same 255/40/17 size. So, I took our mild roll to rolled up flat and they are under the lips.

And then we pulled the spring to test fit at full suspension compression and they are still in the fenders, they bottom on the plastic fender liner without hitting metal anywhere....and even that doesn't happen until we have compressed the bumpstop so much that we are lifting the entire car off the lift at this point.
