Installing Keepers in NA Motor

Has anyone got a quick solution, that is easy, to installing the keepers that sit inside the top of valve spring retainers on the Intake and Exhaust side of the head of a NA engine?

I have purchased a valve spring compression tool. But, installing the keepers is so difficult. It has taken my son and I 8 hours to install the keepers on 4 valves on the intake side. We have 12 left...so that is 32 hours to go.

Also, is there a differance between the Intake valve spring retainers and the Exhaust side? I ask as I was sent two different valve spring retainers, but the engine I am working on has the same valve spring reatiners on the Intake and Exhauts side.
