Tire size for 15 x 7.5 Konig Hexaform Wheels

Postby IanP588 » Tue Mar 23, 2021 3:42 pm

Hi there,

I just got delivery of some 15 x 7.5 Konig Hexaform wheels for my 1999 NB Miata. Couple of questions:

1. What would be the best and/or largest tire size I should go? I am thinking 205/50 x 15 - is larger doable?

2. Related to this, currently the brakes and suspension are stock. Tho I will upgrade these at some point, currently I just want to mount the wheels and drive. So I want to be sure I won't need to roll the fenders at the moment for 205/50 x 15 or something larger if that is possible.

My usage is mostly street and dry tho may drive in the rain and will likely do an occasional autocross.

Thanks :)

Our favorite choice Continental ECS (ExtremeContactSport), 205/50/15 ....works so good on 15x7.5.

That's plug and play on NB, no fender rolling.

But ... your 15 x 7.5 Hexaforms are +35 offset, yes? Still no fender rolling? Even stock suspension (like my 2005 LS)?

Yes, for NB miata and that tire that is plug and play.

Thanks for the advice, those tires work out great on these wheels. Here's a couple of before and after images 8)
