Our Merlin is back as of about 2 weeks ago. The annual migration can take them all the way north into Canada for breeding season and our little guy comes back to this same tree about this time every year when the Summer is over.

Nice of our Merlin to perch a little lower today! I am still standing three stories up on our roof edge trying to get this picture of a 10 inch high Merlin that is at least 50 feet up in a tree down the street from us in a neighbor's yard. Pretty pleased with results given the distance and 800mm equivalent lens and heavy crop.

Another Garmin user here. It tracks my daily surfing, including longest and fastest ride. I find it SUPER useful for hiking. In the High Sierras when the trail vanished under the snow the GPS on the watch kept us on trail we could not see. In places around the globe where a loop hike took us through various canyons not well marked it was sometimes the watch that kept us on the path back to where our car was parked.
