PCV Hose not connected?

Had 06 NC apart to replace Knock Sensor. What a pain!!
Got it back together and won't start. It kind of starts for a second or two, revs high and dies with a heavy breathing sound from engine. I think PCV hose got disconnected from dynamic chamber while trying to wiggle it in place.
If I blow on the breather hose from valve cover I can hear a hiss coming from PCV area.
Any tricks for getting the hose connected while matting the dynamic chamber??????
I think it would be easier to just install the intake you sell, but it says something about port matching? Any advantages with stock exhaust header and pipe? I do have Roadster Sport muffler from circa 06.
