Have you had a chance to test any of your springs or the sway bar on the Tremor variants? I may potentially be upgrading to one this week, but part of me still wants to lower it just to keep the more rally focused look and feel.

2025 LOBO delivery today!

What makes it special?

This is the street performance version and one of the key features of the Maverick Lobo is its torque vectoring system, which assists the vehicle in performing swift maneuvers. Using a twin-clutch rear drive unit (similar to what's found on the Bronco Sport), the Lobo is engineered to improve grip, stability, and cornering performance. It has a track mode.....in a truck. We plan to have some autocross fun with it. Ford includes some special springs too that lower it just a little.

Funny how much the stuff we have not touched on our original Maverick feels 'different' on the new Maverick. The engine should be essentially the same, feels smoother on the new truck. Transmission shift mapping just feels better, even before we get to the FUN of having the shift paddles. The little shift paddles are reasonably responsive, no Porsche paddle shifting experience here but better than typical sedans. LOVE the big new screen in the center and the integration of Android Auto is better. I don't miss the cubby next to tiny original year maverick screen that is gone to make space for the new MUCH bigger screen.

One thing that I do miss is the tactile controls for all HVAC. Just so much more satisfying to turn a physical knob rather than use the new big screen. Our first year Maverick has the physical HVAC knobs with the digital temp readout in the middle of the knob. That just makes so much sense, but we will get accustomed to doing stuff through the screen.

Will have it on the lift soon for measurements, checking our springs in the LOBO against the stock "LOBO" springs, testing the LOBO spring rates, and lots more. Thinking we finally do our BRAKES too.

Wife said the LOBO wheels are UGLY. So, those coming off right away!

Assuming we autocross it, we want some WIDE wheels. In our KONIG brand the widest that I find on first glace is 8.5. That's an inch wider than stock 19x7.5 wheels, but would like to go WIDER.

Meanwhile, in our ENKEI brand the first glance review finds a CLASSIC that I have owned before, the Enkei NTO3+M. Fitment is Enkei NT03+M Silver 18x9.5 5x108 +40. Yeah, that could work. Just for comparison, here is that exact wheel and same size on the Focus RS, which uses same platform and that's essentially same color too.

Maverick LOBO with my 18x8.5 Street Tire Combo we had on the other Maverick until we did lift and offroad wheels and tires on that one. This is ONE inch wider than stock LOBO wheel, one inch less wheel diameter but overall diameter with 235/60-18 tire is about half inch more total diameter than stock LOBO.
