ND-2 Front bump stops for autox

Post by DarrellC994 »

What length is left of the stop after cutting it? And which end do you cut? Thanks very much. That's the only thing I have left to do for a CS car.

I’m just trying something new. From what I’ve read, cutting the stops frees the front end up. I’d like to do it once. I’m just now understanding the feeling of the car after four years of autocrossing.

No wrong answers here, it's all personal taste in the balance. I do like to cut fronts a good inch and use HARD stops at rear that equal length of factory rear stops per the rules.

For clarity, the stock stops are 37.5 mm; Brian, are you suggesting you or others find cutting the front bump stop to 25mm frees up the front-end push?

Picture of ND1 vs ND2 stops. ....both are FRONT.

At this point I am using only the part 'circled' here by red square.

I finally got my Koni fronts installed, and I took a photo of the stock OE bump stops, shown as 2.25''.
