Back from SEMA and lots to show!

First up is Koni - as already mentioned they are now rolling out their popular Special Active / Frequency Selective Damping technology shocks for the Miata! Greg is holding the first one in the US. These are on our site now, taking preorders which we should have in 30 days or so.

Finally, a clutch and flywheel combo for the ND2!

If you haven't heard of XClutch, they are the US arm of Australian Clutch Services. These guys have been making some of the best clutches from stock to full blown motorsport applications for 30 years.

Stage 1 is good for 230 ft-lbs of torque and has an easy to drive full face organic disc. The Stage 2 can handle 370 ft-lbs with amore aggressive cushioned ceramic disc. Both come with a chromoly steel single mass flywheel.

Better resolution shots of the new Konig Ultragram that will be coming Spring 2023 in both 15" and 17".

We're still working on hammering out sizes/offsets with Konig, but expect 15x7, 15x8 and 17x8 for sure, with two colors: the silver you see here and a darker grey.

We also got first shots of Konig's new forged wheels - two models to start, these will be rolling out mid-2023. Hope to have some more info on these soon. Some details may change from here to production versions, like the etched "forged" text on the darker wheel, which they are still debating about doing.

We spotted a NA Miata at the show, which is very rare to happen. It was on our Konig Countergram wheels, albeit with a bunch of spacer added to fill out the flares. Looked like it was still a work in progress, as many of the vehicles at this event are, but still cool to see!

This one was pretty cool to see in person. You may not usually think of "wild" and "Honda Ridgeline" as belonging in the same sentence, but it sure does in this case.
That's an IndyCar engine and transaxle in the back of this tube frame creation. Granted, there's no actual Ridgeline here, but it's very cool nonetheless. One detail I particularly liked; as with all these wild projects that get backing from a big OE manufacturer, it's very important to preserve the recognizability of the original vehicle and brand. Much of a car's identity comes from the "face", or the lights and grille at the front, and the tail lights at the rear. Easy enough to do on the front, but in this case, with no truck bed there was nowhere to mount the tail lights. So they formed the lights into the lower portion of the wing endplates. Very creative.

So much is going on at SEMA it is hard to see it all. It was even harder for Ryan and myself as we had several meetings with manufacturers over the two days we were there. Business first!
However, when we could we slowed down to soak up what we could.
Optima Battery had their annual Ultimate Street Car Invitational going on. We didn't have a chance to spectate, but we had heard there was an ND Miata in the field so after the show closed Thursday night we went looking for it.
We didn't find one, we found three! There was also a 1st gen RX7 in the mix!
