Minimum thickness for GWR Big Brake Conversion for Brembo 16-23

Post by MichaelE081 »

I purchased the GWR Big Brake Conversion for Brembo calipers for my 2021 MX-5 Club. They work great.
I have used them for 6 or so track days plus about 10k street miles. The rotors are wearing to the point that the slots are starting to disappear. Attached are a couple of photos of the worn rotor slots. What is the minimum safe operating thickness for these rotors. Is it the same as the OEM rotors?

You are just about there at replacement point, which is when the slots vanish.
