Exhaust volume

Post by MichaelR014 »

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I just installed the GWR race muffler, I love the sound but still would like an increase in volume, would buying and installing the mid pipe potentially just increase volume or will it also change sound and if so by how much?

Yes, any of our highflow midpipes would substantially raise volume of the muffler.

I'm curious about the following:
RSSS single tip with cone baffle removed = Race exhaust ?

Would need to start with explaining if you are talking NC or ND.

RSSS single tip with cone baffle removed does not equal the Race. Cone removed exposes the fiberglass to the sound. The fiberglass has more impact on upper frequencies. Thus, though overall volume comes down just a bit, tone is noticeably lower.
