Sonoma Raceway Miata Reunion Event!

Post by Brian »

It is Friday 'Test and Tune' Day for the Miata Reunion Weekend. Today was our chance to check track conditions and do some fine tune work on the setups in each car. Track is in great shape and so are the cars.

You might notice Greg's MSM hood is a different color. Greg has struggled over the years with the MSM running hot. Greg picked up a junkyard hood and added our Singular Vents and now the MSM is nice and stable on temperatures even though our ambient temps here today are climbing over 80F.

Enjoying the TDR intake and battery relocation kit so much that we decided to add it to our website. The NC has been a blast so far with mild 2.5 liter, TDR intake, RoadsterSport Header and Full Exhaust (Helmholtz Race Muffler for this weekend), and our NEW Koni Coilover Setup, and more!

Luis with his Turbo 2.5 NC. Luis bought the 2.5 junkyard 2.5 for $175 out of a local yard and put a massive turbo on it. A set of our 17x10 wheels attempts to put the power to the ground through 255/40 tires.

It was some FUN at Sonoma! It was an extremely fun track to drive, with blind hills, fast straights, hairpins, and hard braking zones. And lots of walls close by to punish you too if you got too crazy!
My MSM is equipped with the GWR Spec Feal 441 Road Race Coilovers as well as a set of Konig 15x9 Hexaforms, which helped me go fast and have a blast on the track. The Singular Motorsports Hood Louvers have also helped keep things cooler under the hood. I installed the NC versions on my car. I really like the swoopy looks, and had seen a couple of cars online with them installed. I went for it and don't regret it.
