ECM flashing?

Post by NC+Will=Happiness »

Say once I have installed a header and the midpipe to go with my RS Duals and the AEM intake would it be practical to flash my ECM to benefit these mods? I do'nt know much about where to go to have this done but I am also curious if this is a useful thing to do for a street car.

Thanks for any input you may have.

The word was that a reflash would be available for the Spec Miata Racing series...but we have yet to see it. The air/fuel ratios looked pretty good on my car with the AEM, header, midpipe, and muffler so it didn't appear there was much more room for improvement on that issue...but perhaps the reflash advances timing, raises the redline, etc. I was at SEMA talking with Mazda officials today but didn't think to ask this...I look forward to finding out...
