I am finally going to make my first upgrade on my MX5, and I thought I would start with the springs.
Are there any special considerations I should keep in mind about the height?
A low look I find appealing but I have read recently that upgrades to the stock shocks will lower the car even more.
I don't want to have issues where I am constantly scraping as I am driving or the inability to go to a larger size tire in the future.
So my question is, are the 2 inch dropping Eibach Sportline springs....OVERKILL?
Eibach pro kit vs. sportline?

Overkill, you will find that the regular Eibachs, whatever they are called, (pro-line?), are low enough that you will find yourself scraping the front air dam if you are not careful on some driveways and speed bumps. When I installed the JIC's, I have them about 1/4 inch higher than I had my Eibachs. I can't imagine you will be happy with a full 2" drop, unless you just have to have that slammed look.
